Gateway developed a multi-departmental identification system for school districts call KidLogisticts.  A single solution that provides location of students for Risk Management, Attendance and Transportation.

In an emergency, KidLogistics™ allows Risk Management to know which students they are responsible for as soon as a student steps on or off a bus and when they enter or exit the school property.  The system will also provide school offices with the general proximity of each student based on the location of RFID Readers that are deployed throughout a school property.

In keeping attendance, KidLogistics™'s HallPass™ module monitors the whereabouts of a student roaming the school this information can be used to automate the attendance process.  Evidence shows that each school could be miss categorizing 5 to 7 students a week, which could represent a large amount of non-reimbursements from the State.

Riding the school buses, there is KidLogistics™ BusPass™ module;  With bus driver turn over, sub-drivers and changes in routes the BusPass™ system allows the transportation department to keep tabs on their passengers by recording the location of when a student is picked up and dropped off.  Also, transportation can monitor the location of their buses, nutrition and maintenance vehicle using WebAVL™.

School buses are equipped with a GPS tracking device and as the bus travels from stop to stop, the tracking device records the passengers and immediately forwards this information to the appropriate school. Student carry a school ID card that contains RFID tag that transmits unique numbers, no personal information is contained in the tag.
